Universal Saving & Withdrawal of Demand and Time Deposits

Brief Introduction

This is a financial service product that allows depositors to save or withdraw money, make inquiry and verbally report loss at any networked outlet of the bank by right of the passbook (deposit receipt) and password. Reported loss: A depositor who has lost his/her passbook (deposit receipt) may verbally report the loss thereof at a networked savings outlet by providing the relevant elements. The outlet will use the information to check the amount of the reporting person and make sure that it has not yet been claimed before accepting the verbal report of loss, provided that the depositor must process the formalities for formal report of loss with the original account-opening outlet by presenting valid personal identity certificate within 5 days thereafter (extended on holidays).

Note

This financial service is unavailable and a customer must return to the original account-opening outlet to process the relevant affairs, if:
1.The account which is the one that the customer requires it to be bound up with a seal for withdrawal;

2.The cancellation of an account which is the one from which payment is stopped due to one reason or another;

3.The formal loss report, loss report calloff, and freezing and unfreezing of an account;

4.The deposit receipt which has illegible account No., common seal, handler’s seal and handwritings.

You may open a personal account with your own identity certificate at any outlet of CGB. An agent acting on someone’s behalf also needs to produce his/her identity certificate.
